Dallas signs Cracknell to one-year deal

The Dallas Stars, parent club of the AHL’s Texas Stars, have signed right wing Adam Cracknell to a one-year contract.

Cracknell, 30, skated in 52 NHL games between Vancouver and Edmonton in 2015-16, posting five goals and five assists.

Over 10 professional seasons, Cracknell has appeared in 134 NHL games with Vancouver, Edmonton, Columbus and St. Louis, totaling 11 goals and 16 assists for 27 points. He also has one goal in 10 Stanley Cup Playoff games.

In the AHL, Cracknell has played 415 regular-season games with Omaha, Quad City, Peoria, Chicago and Springfield, tallying 97 goals and 123 assists for 220 points. He also has six goals and one assist in 16 Calder Cup Playoff contests.

A native of Prince Albert, Sask., Cracknell was originally drafted by Calgary in 2004.
