Ducks sign Drouin-Deslauriers

The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the parent Anaheim Ducks have signed goaltender Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers to a two-year contract.

Deslauriers, 27, spent the 2010-11 season with the AHL’s Oklahoma City Barons, recording a 2.81 goals-against average and a .906 save percentage with a 17-13-4 record and three shutouts in 35 appearances.

A native of St.-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Que., Deslauriers was selected by Edmonton in the second round (31st overall) of the 2002 NHL draft and spent the last seven seasons in the Oilers organization. He played 172 AHL games with Edmonton, Hamilton, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Springfield and Oklahoma City, going 76-72-14 with seven shutouts.

Deslauriers has appeared in 58 career NHL contests with the Oilers, going 20-31-4 with a 3.27 GAA, .901 save percentage and three shutouts.
