Ducks sign Leblanc

The Anaheim Ducks, parent club of the AHL’s Norfolk Admirals, have signed center Louis Leblanc to a one-year contract through the 2014-15 NHL season.

Leblanc, 23, set career highs with 13 goals, 15 assists and 28 points while appearing in 70 games for the AHL’s Hamilton Bulldogs in 2013-14. In 163 games over three seasons with Hamilton, Leblanc has registered 34 goals and 34 assists for 68 points.

A first-round pick (18th overall) by Montreal in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Leblanc was scoreless in eight NHL games with the Canadiens last season, and totaled five goals and five assists for 10 points in 50 contests for Montreal.

Leblanc was acquired by Anaheim from Montreal in exchange for a conditional fifth-round selection in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft on June 14, 2014.
