Ex-Aero Larose lifts Wolves in OT

Cory Larose scored 3:27 into overtime to put Chicago in the win column with a 5-4 decision over Houston at Allstate Arena on Wednesday evening.

Larose, a former member of the Aeros, helped the Wolves put an end to the first 0-2-0-0 start in the franchise’s 11-year history.

Steve Maltais scored twice in the first period — including the 200th goal of his AHL career — and assisted on Larose’s winner. Stephen Baby and Karl Stewart also scored, and Travis Roche, a member of Houston’s Calder Cup championship team in 2003, recorded two assists.

Matt Foy and Kirby Law had a goal and an assist each for the Aeros, with Law’s goal coming on a second-period penalty shot.
