Flaherty saves, Tiley scores, Admirals win

Wade Flaherty made 40 saves and Brad Tiley scored 6:46 into overtime as Milwaukee took back the lead in the Western Conference final with a 2-1 win over Rochester at the HSBC Arena in Buffalo on Saturday night.

The Admirals are up 2-1 in the best-of-seven series, with Game 4 scheduled for Sunday afternoon.

Darren Haydar opened the scoring 1:32 into the game, and Flaherty made the lead stand up until Derek Roy scored on a power play with just 3:14 to go in regulation. Flaherty made 30 of his 40 saves in the final 40 minutes of regulation.

Tiley’s goal came on the first shot of overtime by either team, and was the first score of these playoffs for the veteran defenseman.

Simon Gamache recorded two assists for the Admirals, who are 10-1 this postseason when scoring at least two goals in a game.

Attendance was 8,462 for the first Calder Cup Playoff game in Buffalo since 1987.
