After a scoreless first period, Cunning and Pelech scored in the second to give the Flames a 2-0 lead.

Each team then scored a pair of goals in the third stanza. Couture game the Flames a 3-0 lead at 9:30, and after Houston cut it to 3-1, Cunning rounded out Quad City’s scoring at 12:41.
