Flames ink Robinson to two-year deal

The Calgary Flames announced today that they have signed free-agent forward Buddy Robinson to a two-year, two-way contract.

Robinson, 26, played 74 regular-season games with the AHL’s Manitoba Moose last season, setting career highs with 25 goals, 28 assists and 53 points. He added one goal and three assists in seven Calder Cup Playoff games.

A native of Bellmawr, N.J., Robinson has skated in 352 AHL games in his five-year pro career, collecting 84 goals and 92 assists for 176 points with Manitoba, San Jose and Binghamton.

Robinson has also played seven career games in the NHL with the Ottawa Senators, tallying one goal and one assist.
