Flames sign Gazdic for 2017-18

The Calgary Flames announced today that they have signed forward Luke Gazdic to a one year, two-way contract.

Gazdic, a 27-year-old native of Toronto, Ont., spent last season in the New Jersey Devils organization, tallying one goal and six assists in 37 games with the AHL’s Albany Devils. He also skated in 11 NHL games with New Jersey.

Originally drafted by the Dallas Stars in 2007, Gazdic has accumulated five goals, three assists and 206 penalty minutes in 147 career NHL contests with New Jersey and Edmonton.

Gazdic has skated in 309 career AHL contests with Albany, Bakersfield, Oklahoma City and Texas, recording 31 goals and 36 assists for 67 points as well as 523 penalty minutes.
