Flames sign Peluso to one-year deal

The Calgary Flames announced today that they have signed free agent forward Anthony Peluso to a one-year, two-way contract.

Peluso skated in 38 games with the AHL’s Hershey Bears last season, scoring a career-high seven goals and adding four assists for 11 points.

He also played two regular-season games in the NHL with the Washington Capitals.

Peluso has appeared in 241 AHL games over his nine professional seasons, totaling 22 goals and 20 assists for 42 points with Hershey, Manitoba and Peoria.

A sixth-round choice by St. Louis in the 2007 NHL Draft, Peluso has tallied four goals and 10 assists for 14 points in 144 career NHL games with Winnipeg and Washington.
