Glencross extends streak as Crunch rout Bulldogs

The Syracuse Crunch tallied four goals in the opening period and went on to defeat Hamilton, 5-1, at Copps Coliseum on Thursday night.

Curtis Glencross recorded a pair of goals to extend his scoring streak to six games (5g, 5a), and Joel Martin turned away 33 of 34 shots in his first start of the year for Syracuse.

The Crunch are unbeaten in regulation against the Bulldogs in the last four meetings (3-0-1-0), and improved their record to 4-3-1-0 against Hamilton in 2006-07.

Andrew Murray also scored twice and teammate Olivier Labelle had a goal and an assist for Syracuse, which sits six points out of the final playoff spot in the North Division with four games remaining.

Eric Manlow scored the lone goal for Hamilton in the loss.
