The Vegas Golden Knights have acquired defenseman Philip Holm from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for forward Brendan Leipsic.

Holm will join the Golden Knights’ AHL affiliate, the Chicago Wolves.

Holm, 26, ranks third among all AHL defensemen with 11 goals and tied for ninth with 29 points in 42 games for the Utica Comets this season, his first in North America.

Holm has also appeared in one game with Vancouver, making his NHL debut on Feb. 23.

Leipsic, an AHL All-Star in 2015, has tallied 13 points in 44 games with the Golden Knights this season.
