Goodrow re-signs with Sharks

The San Jose Sharks announced today that the club has re-signed forward Barclay Goodrow to a two-year contract.

Last season, Goodrow, 24, recorded 45 points (25 goals, 20 assists) in 61 games with the San Jose Barracuda, leading the team in goals and finishing fourth in points and plus/minus (+16). He also scored six power-play goals, four shorthanded goals and five game-winners.

In 15 postseason games, Goodrow collected five goals and five assists for 10 points as the Barracuda reached the AHL’s Western Conference Finals.

In three appearances with the parent Sharks in 2016-17, Goodrow registered one assist.

Entering his third pro season, Goodrow has skated in 125 AHL games, totaling 47 goals and 43 assists for 90 points along with a plus-25 rating. He was also an AHL All-Star as a rookie in 2016. In 77 career NHL contests, he has four goals and 12 assists for 16 points.

The Toronto native was originally signed by the Sharks as a free agent on Mar. 16, 2014.
