Griffins hang on to make it five straight

Three goals in the second period, including two on the power play, proved to be the difference as the Griffins defeated the Philadelphia Phantoms by a score of 3-2 at the Wachovia Spectrum on Monday night.

Danny Syvret registered a pair of assists and netminder Stefan Liv stopped 27 of 29 shots for his fourth win in a row, improving his record to 5-7-1.

Darryl Bootland, Ryan Keller and defenseman Jonathan Ericsson all tallied for the Griffins, who won their the fifth consecutive game to go a perfect 3-0-0-0 on their three-game eastern road trip.

Niko Dimitrakos had a goal and an assist and Darren Reid also tallied for the Phantoms in the loss.
