Grizzlies get 8 more from Phoenix

The Utah Grizzlies’ National Hockey League (NHL) affiliate, the Phoenix Coyotes, announced on Tuesday that they have assigned eight players to the Grizzlies. Coyotes General Manager Michael Barnett made the announcement.

The Coyotes assigned defensemen Keith Ballard, Joe Callahan and Dustin Wood and forwards Randall Gelech, Jakub Koreis, Kiel McLeod, Lance Monych and Mike Stutzel to the Utah Grizzlies.

The Grizzlies will open their training camp on Sept. 29 in Salt Lake City, and will play their first preseason game versus the Edmonton Road Runners on Oct. 8 in Boise, Idaho.

The Grizzlies will play their first regular season game on Oct. 13 versus Cincinnati.
