Hartford announces training camp roster

Hartford Wolf Pack General Manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that training camp will open Sun., Sept. 26, with physicals and medicals at the New York Rangers’ training facility in Greenburgh, N.Y.

Approximately 40 hopefuls, including some of the organization’s top prospects, will hit the ice beginning on Sept. 27.

Currently, 29 players are confirmed to attend camp, including Wolf Pack captain Ken Gernander, 2004 AHL All-Star Jozef Balej, and highly-touted defenseman Fedor Tyutin.

In addition, players acquired at last year’s trade deadline, including Dwight Helminen, Maxim Kondratiev and David Liffiton will all be appearing in their first training camp with the organization. A number of additions are still expected to be made to the roster before camp opens.
