Hartford’s Grenier suspended

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League today announced that Hartford Wolf Pack defenseman Martin Grenier has been suspended for two (2) games as a result of his actions in an AHL Calder Cup Playoff game vs. Portland on Thursday (May 11).

Grenier will miss Game 6 of the Atlantic Division final series between the teams, to be played in Portland on Sunday (May 14).

If Hartford wins on Sunday, the second game of the suspension will be served in Game 7 of the series on Wednesday (May 17); otherwise, it will be served during the 2006-07 regular season.
