Heat too much for Milwaukee

Dustin Sylvester scored 8:47 into the third period to break a 2-2 tie and send Abbotsford to a 4-2 victory over Milwaukee on Wednesday night, completing a three-game sweep of the teams’ Western Conference quarterfinal playoff series.

The Heat, the fourth seed in the Western Conference, will take on either Oklahoma City or Toronto in the second round.

Clay Wilson had two goals and an assist, Krys Kolanos recorded two assists and Hugh Jessiman scored for the Heat, while Danny Taylor stopped 26 of 28 shots on the night.

Kyle Wilson and Victor Bartley scored power-play goals 2:11 apart late in the second period to erase a 2-0 Admirals deficit, but Milwaukee could never claim the lead.

Jeremy Smith made 28 saves in defeat.
