Hendry, Lindholm assigned to Norfolk

The Anaheim Ducks, National Hockey League parent club of the AHL’s Norfolk Admirals, announced today that the NHL club has assigned defensemen Jordan Hendry and Hampus Lindholm to the Admirals.

Hendry played 93 games with Norfolk, including all 80 during his rookie professional season of 2006-07. Last year, Hendry appeared in 10 AHL games with Houston and spent the rest of the campaign with Lugano in the Swiss league.

Lindholm, 18, was Anaheim’s first-round pick (sixth overall) in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

Along with the 16 players assigned to Norfolk on Friday, these players are the first to be assigned to Norfolk under the new affiliation agreement between the Admirals and Ducks.

The 2012-13 Admirals hockey season begins on Friday, October 12, at Norfolk Scope Arena.
