With a first-period assist against San Jose on Saturday night, Ontario Reign forward T.J. Hensick reached 500 points for his American Hockey League career.
Hensick is the 90th player in league history with 500 regular-season points.

Hensick, 31, finished with two assists in the Reign’s 7-2 win over the Barracuda. He has recorded 10 goals and 20 assists for 30 points in 35 games for the Reign this season, and now has 149 goals and 352 assists for 501 points in 538 games with Ontario, Charlotte, Utica, Hamilton, Hartford, Peoria and Lake Erie over his 10-year pro career.
A four-time participant in the AHL All-Star Classic (2008, 2010, 2011, 2012), Hensick was also named a Second Team AHL All-Star for the 2011-12 season.
Selected by the Colorado Avalanche in the third round (88th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, Hensick has scored 12 goals and 26 assists for 38 points in 112 career NHL games with the Avalanche and St. Louis Blues.
