th the beginning of the 2007-08 season just over a week away, the Rockford IceHogs, proud members of the American Hockey League, unveiled the club’s brand new Rbk EDGE jerseys and the marketing campaign at a press conference on Wednesday afternoon.

The IceHogs’ marketing slogan for the 2007-08 season is “Raise Your Game”.  The new season marks the IceHogs’ ninth in Rockford, but first in the AHL as the top affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks. With the IceHogs raising their level, the club has challenged its fans to do the same.

“‘Raise Your Game’ represents every facet of our organization,” said IceHogs president Ryan Washatka. “From our on-ice product, to front-office staff, we are raising the bar this season as new members of the AHL. As we have with our campaigns from seasons past, we wanted to also incorporate a theme that is interactive for our fans.”

Rockford, along with the AHL, unveiled its new jersey style for the 2007-08 season. The IceHogs’ jerseys will still contain the club’s primary logo. Rockford’s home jersey is white with black, white and red trim along the waist and elbows. The Hogs’ road sweaters are red with white and black trim and both the home and road jerseys will feature the Blackhawks’ primary logo on the shoulders.

“Our new jerseys hold true to our traditional colors and scheme as we embark on a new era of IceHogs hockey,” said Washatka.  “At the same time, we have the opportunity to associate our logo with one of the most storied franchises and most prestigious jerseys in hockey with the Blackhawks. As a new member of the AHL, this partnership with Reebok gives us the opportunity to ‘Raise Our Game’ to the next level.”

The entire AHL, along with the National Hockey League, will exclusively feature the new Rbk EDGE jerseys.  This league-wide uniform innovation was established by Reebok with the NHL earlier this year with performance and safety at the forefront of the design process. After more than two years of research and testing, including integral player feedback, the Rbk EDGE Uniform System will debut this fall only in the AHL and NHL.
