Kasparaitis draws conditioning assignment to Hartford

The New York Rangers announced on Tuesday that defenseman Darius Kasparaitis has been assigned to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL) on a 10-day conditioning assignment.

Kasparaitis, 34, has skated in six games with the Rangers this season, registering one assist and 10 penalty minutes. He missed the first five games of the season still recovering from off-season injuries.

The native of Elektrenai, Lithuania, has skated in 845 career NHL games with the Rangers, Colorado, Pittsburgh, and the N.Y. Islanders after being selected fifth overall in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft.

The Wolf Pack are next in action on Wednesday night when they host the Portland Pirates at the Hartford Civic Center.
