When the Lake Erie Monsters take the ice for the first time this season, the players will be suited up in newly-created, high-tech uniforms. The Monsters have released the design of their first-ever jersey, which is part of the AHL’s launch of the new Rbk EDGE uniform system.
Lake Erie joins Binghamton, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Chicago, Providence, Norfolk and Bridgeport as AHL teams who have unveiled their new jersey designs for the 2007-08 season. Click here for a look at all 29 AHL teams’ designs as they are unveiled.
The home and away jerseys utilize Monsters red and blue with black and white accents. The front of the jersey features the team’s secondary “M” logo, while the primary Monsters logo, as well as the Colorado Avalanche logo – the team’s NHL affiliate – appears on either shoulder.
The Rbk EDGE uniform features technologically-advanced materials and fabrics that are more breathable, more resistant to water absorption and offer greater range of motion for today’s hockey player. More than two years of extensive research, development and testing were performed by Reebok, with player feedback integral to the process.
This Saturday, Sept. 8, at 10:00 a.m., individual tickets for the inaugural Monsters season will go on sale. Individual game tickets, as well as five- and 15-game ticket plans, start at just $10.
