Lehtonen, Wolves blank Griffins

Joey MacDonald and Drew MacIntyre split the goaltending duties for the Griffins (0-1-0-0), stopping 31 of 32 shots combined.

Colby Armstrong had a goal and three assists as Wilkes-Barre/Scranton posted an 8-1 drubbing of Syracuse at the Wachovia Arena on Thursday.

Fifteen of the 18 skaters in the Penguins’ lineup recorded at least one point. Shane Endicott had two goals and an assist, and Marc-Andre Fleury made 19 saves for the Pens (3-0-0-0). Tyler Sloan had the only goal for the Crunch (1-2-0-1).

Garrett Stafford recorded a goal and an assist in his first game action since a season-ending injury in last year’s playoffs, and Matt Yeats made 18 saves as Cleveland posted a 4-1 win over Cincinnati at the Kent State Ice Arena.

Marcel Goc, Jim Fahey and Scott Dobben also scored for the Barons (1-0-0-0). Cory Pecker had the lone goal for the Mighty Ducks (0-1-0-0).
