Lightning acquire Condon from Ottawa

The Tampa Bay Lightning have acquired goaltender Mike Condon and a 2020 sixth-round draft pick from the Ottawa Senators in exchange for forward Ryan Callahan and the Lightning’s fifth-round selection in the 2020 NHL Draft.

Condon, 29, missed the majority of the 2018-19 season with a hip injury. He made one appearance with the AHL’s Belleville Senators, stopping 17 shots in a 7-6 victory over Toronto on Nov. 9. He also appeared in two NHL games with Ottawa.

The seventh-year pro from Holliston, Mass., has played in 129 career NHL games with Ottawa, Pittsburgh and Montreal, posting a record of 45-58-17 with a 2.79 goals-against average and a .905 save percentage with six shutouts.

In 57 career AHL appearances, Condon has a record of 28-20-6 with a 2.50 GAA, a .918 save percentage and four shutouts.
