Lightning acquire Mazanec from Canucks

The Tampa Bay Lightning have acquired goaltender Marek Mazanec and a conditional pick in the 2020 NHL Draft from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for forward J.T. Miller and a 2019 third-round pick.

Mazanec, 27, made 30 appearances in the AHL between Hartford and Utica in 2018-19, going 10-13-4 with a 3.01 goals-against average, an .895 save percentage and one shutout.

The native of Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic, has played 215 games in the AHL over six seasons, posting a record of 103-79-25 with a 2.68 GAA, a .907 save percentage and 12 shutouts.

Selected in the sixth round of the 2012 NHL Draft by Nashville, Mazanec has appeared in 31 career NHL games with the Predators.

Miller, a veteran of 435 NHL games, was an AHL All-Star as a rookie in 2012-13.
