Lightning acquire Pasquale from Oilers

The Tampa Bay Lightning have acquired goaltender Eddie Pasquale from the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for future considerations.

Additionally, the Syracuse Crunch have traded forward Ty Loney and goaltender Nick Riopel to the Bakersfield Condors for future considerations.

Pasquale, 27, has appeared in 16 games with Bakersfield this season, going 6-5-4 with a 2.60 goals-against average, a .910 save percentage and one shutout.

The Toronto native has played in 211 career AHL games with Bakersfield, Grand Rapids, St. John’s and Chicago, with a record of 100-83-19 with a 2.60 GAA, a .913 save percentage and 15 shutouts. He won a Calder Cup championship with the Griffins in 2017.

Loney, 25, is scoreless in eight games with Syracuse this season. He has skated in 68 career AHL contests with Syracuse, Albany, Chicago, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Norfolk, totaling six goals and 14 assists for 20 points.

Riopel, 28, has made one appearance with the Crunch this season, a scoreless period of relief at Utica on Jan. 20. He has played 22 career AHL games, going 7-13-0 with a 3.40 GAA, an .884 save percentage and one shutout.
