The Tampa Bay Lightning have re-signed forward Tye McGinn to a one-year, two-way contract.

McGinn, 27, was limited by injury to 21 regular-season games with the AHL’s Syracuse Crunch last season, recording 10 goals and nine assists for 19 points. He went on to skate in 22 postseason games, tallying five goals and 11 assists for 16 points as the Crunch advanced to the Calder Cup Finals. It was the first playoff trip of McGinn’s six-year pro career.

In 256 AHL games with Syracuse and Adirondack, McGinn has totaled 76 goals and 66 assists for 142 points.

A native of Fergus, Ont., McGinn was a fourth-round draft pick by Philadelphia in 2010. He has appeared in 89 career NHL games with the Flyers, San Jose, Arizona and Tampa Bay, notching nine goals and eight assists for 17 points.
