Lowell Devils captain Alex Brooks made his National Hockey League debut on Monday night, earning an assist in the New Jersey Devils’ 4-2 loss to the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden.
Brooks, 30, is in his fifth season in the New Jersey organization after playing four years at the University of Wisconsin. The defenseman has one assist in three games with Lowell in 2006-07.
A native of Madison, Wis., Brooks has skated in 267 career AHL games.
