MacWilliam joins Jets

The Winnipeg Jets, parent club of the AHL’s Manitoba Moose, have agreed to terms with defenseman Andrew MacWilliam on one-year, two-way deal, worth an annual average value of $600,000.

MacWilliam, 25, has been a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs organization for the past two seasons. In 2014-15, MacWilliam tallied three goals, four assists and a plus-22 rating in 58 AHL games with the Toronto Marlies. He also made his NHL debut with the Leafs, posting two assists in 12 games.

MacWilliam has appeared in 117 career AHL contests, notching three goals and 13 assists for 16 points.

A native of Calgary, Alta., MacWilliam was a seventh-round draft choice by the Maple Leafs in 2008.
