Maple Leafs acquire Baptiste from Nashville

The Toronto Maple Leafs have acquired forward Nicholas Baptiste from the Nashville Predators in exchange for future considerations.

Additionally, the AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals have acquired forward Emerson Clark from the Toronto Marlies for future considerations.

Baptiste, 23, has tallied 12 goals and 10 assists for 22 points in 55 games with Milwaukee this season, his fourth pro campaign.

Baptiste has skated in 212 AHL games with Milwaukee and Rochester, collecting 57 goals and 52 assists for 109 points.

Selected by Buffalo in the third round of the 2013 NHL Draft, Baptiste has totaled seven goals and three assists in 47 career NHL games, all with the Sabres.

Baptiste was acquired by Nashville on Oct. 1, 2018, in a trade with Buffalo.

Clark, 26, has one goal in six appearances with the Marlies this season. He has also picked up six points in 13 ECHL games between Newfoundland and Allen.

A sixth-year pro, Clark has appeared in 95 career AHL games with Toronto, San Jose, Utica and Chicago, totaling 14 goals, 15 assists and 206 penalty minutes.
