Maple Leafs acquire McAdam from Islanders

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that the hockey club has acquired goaltender Eamon McAdam from the New York Islanders in exchange for forward Matt Martin.

McAdam, 23, made nine appearances with the AHL’s Bridgeport Sound Tigers in 2017-18, posting a record of 5-2-0 with a 2.77 goals-against average and a .903 save percentage. He also appeared in 29 games with Worcester of the ECHL.

A third-round draft pick by the Islanders in 2013, McAdam has played 36 AHL games with Bridgeport, going 20-11-0 with a 2.97 GAA and an .895 save percentage.

McAdam, a native of Perkasie, Pa., played three seasons at Penn State from 2013-16.
