Maple Leafs sign MacIntyre to NHL deal

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Tuesday that Drew MacIntyre has signed an NHL contract for the balance of the 2012-13 season.

MacIntyre, 29, has played in 16 games for the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League this season, posting a record of 10-3-3. The 6-foot-1, 184-pound goaltender has compiled a 1.85 goals-against average and a .931 save percentage.

MacIntyre, who ranks 18th in AHL history with 160 career wins, has previous NHL experience with the Vancouver Canucks and Buffalo Sabres.
