The AHL’s preseason came to a close on Tuesday afternoon as the Toronto Marlies posted a 3-2 win over the Rochester Americans at Ricoh Coliseum.
Colin Murphy led the Marlies with two goals and an assist and John Pohl chipped in two assists as Toronto ended the preseason at 4-0-0.
Jean-Francois Racine earned the win in goal, making 24 saves.
Rochester got goals from Kamil Kreps and Sylvain Dufresne. Amerks goalie Jean-Marc Pelletier took the loss in a 35-save effort.
The AHL’s regular season begins Wednesday night as Bridgeport travels to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
