Milwaukee defeats Houston, ends two-game slide

The Milwaukee Admirals scored a pair of third-period goals to post a come-from-behind 3-1 victory over Houston on Thursday at the Bradley Center. The win snapped Milwaukee’s brief two-game losing skid and also ended the Aeros’ winning streak at two games. Admirals winger John Vigilante provided the game-winner just 49 seconds into the third period.

Houston took a 1-0 lead when Peter Olvecky notched his first goal of the season at 10:43 of the first period. The power play goal was assisted by Adrian Foster and Clayton Stoner.

Oliver Setzinger tallied the equalizer for the Admirals, also on the power play, at 4:34 of the second period. His goal came unassisted.

The score remained deadlocked into the second intermission, but Vigilante’s goal in the opening minute of the third put Milwaukee ahead to stay.

Cal O’Reilly sealed the victory with an empty-net goal in the game’s final minute.

Admirals goaltender Pekka Rinne made 24 saves on 25 shots and improved his season record to 6-4-0-0.
