Monarchs unveil new jerseys for 2007-08

Manchester.jpgThe Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have unveiled their new Rbk EDGE Uniforms for the 2007-08 season. The jerseys will feature the Monarchs’ secondary logo on the right shoulder and the Kings’ crown on the left shoulder, a new accented piping design as well as the Monarchs’ lion logo on the front.

This league-wide uniform innovation was established by Reebok with the National Hockey League earlier this year with performance and safety at the forefront of the design process.  After more than two years of research and testing, the Rbk EDGE Uniform System will debut this fall in only two leagues worldwide: the NHL and the American Hockey League.

“These jerseys are going to be good for the players,” said Monarchs equipment manager Mike Holden. “The water repellent technology and the contour of the jerseys to the players’ bodies will keep them more mobile on the ice. The increased ventilation will keep air flowing through the jersey and equipment, in turn keeping the players more comfortable.”

“The player feedback throughout the Kings training camp this week has been very positive,” explained Kings equipment manager Darren Granger.
