Moose beat Bulldogs, forge tie atop North Division

Nathan Smith scored a goal and an assist and netminder Drew MacIntyre stopped 23 of 25 shots as Manitoba defeated North Division rival Hamilton by a score of 4-2 on Thursday night at the MTS Centre.

Jannik Hansen added two assists for Manitoba, who extended their winning streak to four straight while going unbeaten in regulation in its last 10 games (6-0-2-2).

With the win, the Moose improve their record to 20-13-5-4 and 49 points to move into a tie with Rochester for first place in the North Division.

Brandon Reid, Jason Jaffray and Shaun Heshka provided the other goals for Manitoba, which is currently 4-0-1-0 on its eight-game homestand.

Duncan Milroy registered a goal and an assist in a losing effort for Hamilton, which was handed its third straight loss and sixth in its last seven contests.
