Moose edge Griffins, force Game 7

In a must-win situation, Drew MacIntyre came through with a 21-save performance as the Manitoba Moose defeated Grand Rapids, 2-1, at the MTS Centre on Sunday to force a decisive Game 7 in their North Division semifinal series.

The winner of Game 7 on Tuesday will face the Hamilton Bulldogs in the second round of the 2007 Calder Cup Playoffs. Hamilton advanced to the North Division final with a six-game victory over Rochester.

Brad Moran led the Moose with a power-play goal and added an assist on a goal by Jason Jaffray in the second period, which gave Manitoba a 2-0 lead and eventually turned out to be the game-winner.

Defenseman Brad Norton provided the only goal and Jimmy Howard stopped 21 of 23 shots in the loss for the Griffins.
