Moose sign Green, Naumenko

The Manitoba Moose have signed center Josh Green and defenseman Nick Naumenko to professional tryout contracts.

Green, 27, appeared in 50 NHL games last season with the Calgary Flames and the New York Rangers, combining for five goals and six assists for 11 points. In 36 games with the Flames, Green scored two goals and six points. A native of Camrose, Alta., Green also skated in 22 AHL contests with Lowell, recording six goals and nine assists for 15 points.

A second-round draft pick by Los Angeles in 1996, Green has tallied 45 goals and 41 assists for 86 points in 125 career AHL games with Lowell, Hamilton, Springfield and Fredericton. He also has 29 goals and 32 assists in 232 NHL contests with the Rangers, Calgary, Washington, Edmonton, the N.Y. Islanders and Los Angeles.

Naumenko, 30, played in 46 games last season with the Utah Grizzlies, where he scored five goals and 20 points along with 39 penalty minutes. A 2002 AHL All-Star, Naumenko has recorded 38 goals and 106 assists for 144 points in 246 games over four previous AHL seasons with Utah, Portland and Worcester.

The Chicago native was originally drafted by St. Louis in 1992.
