New Jersey signs Tangradi to one-year deal

The New Jersey Devils announced today that they have signed forward Eric Tangradi to a one-year, two-way contract.

Tangradi appeared in 74 regular-season games with the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins last season. He tied for fourth in the league with 31 goals and tied for eighth with 64 points, both career highs.

Tangradi is a veteran of 426 regular-season games in the AHL, playing for Grand Rapids, Hamilton and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. He has totaled 150 goals and 166 assists for 316 points, reaching double digits in goals in each of his eight seasons.

A Calder Cup champion with Grand Rapids in 2017, Tangradi has registered 11 goals and 28 assists for 39 points in 44 postseason games in the AHL.

Originally a second-round pick by Anaheim in the 2007 NHL Draft, Tangradi has played 144 games in the National Hockey League with Pittsburgh, Winnipeg, Montreal and Detroit, tallying five goals and 10 assists for 15 points. He also has one assist in three Stanley Cup Playoff contests.
