Aeros visit Iowa in Stars’ home opener

The lone game on Thursday’s AHL schedule sees the Iowa Stars open the home portion of their 2006-07 schedule with a game against the Houston Aeros.

Face-off is set for 8:05 p.m. (ET), and you can watch all the action live from your own computer with B2 Networks’ live video webcasts.

This is already the second meeting of the season between the clubs. On Sunday evening in Houston, the Stars got two goals from rookie Marty Sertich and three points each from Junior Lessard and Marty Wilford in a 6-3 win over the Aeros.

Iowa (2-0-0-0) went 3-for-10 on the power play and also had a shorthanded goal in the game. Dan Ellis made 32 saves for the Stars.

Matt Foy had a goal and an assist to lead the Aeros (0-2-0-0), while Wyatt Smith and Curtis Murphy recorded two assists each. The Houston franchise has begun the season with back-to-back regulation losses for the first time since 1995-96, when it opened with an 0-6-0 mark.
