SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League today announced that Philadelphia Phantoms defenseman Martin Grenier has been suspended for three (3) games as a result of his match penalty received during an AHL game vs. Bridgeport on Apr. 6.
Grenier will miss Philadelphia’s games on Friday (Apr. 11) vs. Hershey, Saturday (Apr. 12) at Hershey and Sunday (Apr. 13) vs. Albany.
The AHL also announced that Lake Erie Monsters defenseman Dale Purinton has been suspended for three (3) games as a result of his actions during an AHL game at Hamilton on Apr. 4.
Purinton was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 29.1 (supplementary discipline).
Purinton will miss Lake Erie’s games tonight (Apr. 8) vs. Syracuse, Saturday (Apr. 12) vs. Hamilton and Sunday (Apr. 13) at Rochester.
