AHL announces suspensions

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League today announced the following suspensions:

Stockton Heat center Mike Angelidis has been suspended for three (3) games as a consequence of an illegal check to the head of an opponent in a game vs. San Jose on Oct. 15.

Angelidis was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline). He will miss Stockton’s games Wednesday (Oct. 19) vs. Texas, Friday (Oct. 21) vs. Tucson and Oct. 26 at San Diego.

St. John’s IceCaps center Michael McCarron has been suspended for two (2) games as a consequence of a match penalty assessed in a game at Providence on Oct. 16.

McCarron will miss St. John’s games Friday (Oct. 21) at Providence and Saturday (Oct. 22) at Springfield.
