San Diego hosts Chicago tonight in the pivotal Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals, which are tied at two games apiece after the Wolves’ 2-1 victory last night… Daniel Carr (4-5-9) scored 6:01 into the second overtime period to give Chicago the win… Both of the Wolves’ wins in the series have come in OT; the Gulls have gone 12 straight games without losing in regulation time (eight wins, four overtime losses)… Oscar Dansk (8-5, 2.24, .917), making his 12th consecutive start, registered 40 saves in Game 4, including 20 in the overtime periods… Dansk is 3-0 in OT games this postseason, stopping all 41 shots faced… Wolves defenseman Griffin Reinhart (1-3-4) ended a 51-game drought with a goal last night, his first since Jan. 11… Justin Kloos (3-6-9) scored San Diego’s only goal in Game 4, tying the game 3:36 into the third period… Kevin Boyle (3-1, 1.84, .934) finished with 42 saves in the loss… Chicago outshot San Diego 31-12 over the first two periods of Game 4, but the Gulls held a 29-13 advantage the rest of the way… San Diego allowed the game’s first goal for the 10th time in 14 contests this postseason (5-5)… Attendance at Pechanga Arena last night was 12,147, the largest crowd for an AHL playoff game since the clinching Game 4 of the 2016 Calder Cup Finals in Cleveland (19,665)… In Calder Cup Playoff history, there have been 138 best-of-seven series that were tied at 2-2; the Game 5 winner has gone on to take the series 113 times (81.9 percent).
