Lake Erie and Charlotte wrap up a two-game meeting at the Time Warner Cable Arena tonight… Former Monster Chris Durno (3-2-5) gave the Checkers a 4-3 win last night, scoring the tiebreaking goal with 1:33 left in the third period… Jon Matsumoto (10-13-23) and Chris Terry (5-15-20) each had a goal and an assist for Charlotte, and Zach Boychuk (6-5-11) registered two assists as the Checkers improved to 9-2-0-1 at home this season… Mike Carman (2-0-2), Hugh Jessiman (9-2-11) and Evan Brophey (8-4-12) scored for Lake Erie, which is still 6-2-0-1 in its last nine games… Carman’s goal was the Monsters’ first shorthanded tally of the season… Charlotte is one point behind Oklahoma City and Abbotsford for first place in the overall AHL standings.
