LOOKING BACK:
Joakim Lindstrom, Olivier Labelle and Jeff Szwez scored two goals apiece as Syracuse got six power-play tallies in an 8-1 win in Toronto on Tuesday night… Filip Novak had a goal and an assist and Janne Hauhtonen added three assists for the Crunch.

LOOKING AHEAD:
Hartford has been at the bottom of the Atlantic Division since losing six of its first seven games this season, but the Wolf Pack could find themselves just three points out of second place with a win Wednesday over Providence… The Bruins won both of their previous visits to the Civic Center this year, but are 2-8-0-1 in their last 11 road contests overall as they play the last of eight straight on foreign ice… Rookie T.J. Trevelyan, who made his Providence debut on Nov. 26, has scored 10 goals in his first 15 career AHL games… Hannu Toivonen was assigned to the P-Bruins on Tuesday, while Philippe Sauve was recalled by Boston… Hartford, which has alternated wins and losses over its last 13 games, is looking for its first two-game win streak since early December… Wolf Pack goalie Al Montoya, the reigning CCM Vector/AHL Player of the Week, has stopped 98 of 101 shots (4-0-0, 0.75, .970) in his last four games.

A six-game winning streak has given Hershey a bit of a cushion atop the East Division, but on Wednesday the Bears visit a Norfolk team which is 16-1-2-0 at home in 2006-07… The Admirals have lost four of five to Hershey this season, most recently a 7-4 setback on Dec. 30… Brandon Bochenski had a hat trick in that loss for Norfolk, which came one night after his 14-game scoring streak was snapped… The Admirals’ Corey Crawford (19-8-1) is on the verge of becoming the AHL’s first 20-game winner this season… Joey Tenute is on a five-game scoring streak for the Bears (6g, 4a), and has potted the game-winning goal in four straight contests… With Frederic Cassivi on the injured list, three different goalies – Maxime Daigneault, Daren Machesney and Jeff Pietrasiak – recorded wins for Hershey last week.

Manitoba can close in on first-place Rochester when the Americans come to Winnipeg for a two-game set beginning Thursday night… The Moose enter the week 7-1-2-2 in their last dozen games and four points behind the Amerks in the North Division, although Rochester does have six games in hand… Forwards Brad Moran, Jason Jaffray and Lee Goren have combined for 21 points in Manitoba’s last three contests… The Amerks have won all four meetings between the teams this season, including a pair of 3-2 victories at the MTS Centre last month… Clarke MacArthur (nine games) and Janis Sprukts (seven games) had long scoring streaks snapped in Rochester’s 3-0 loss to Grand Rapids on New Year’s Eve.
