With the ALCS on an off-day, the Cleveland Indians’ next-door neighbors are on the ice tonight as the Lake Erie Monsters host the Iowa Stars at the Quicken Loans Arena… The Monsters (0-5-0-0) remain in search of their first victory after Tuesday’s 4-2 loss to the Stars… Rookie center T.J. Hensick has a goal in two straight games for Lake Erie… Matt Hussey is the Monsters’ overall scoring leader with four points (2-2-4) on the season, and Cody McLeod has also notched a pair of goals and added an assist (2-1-3)… Iowa’s Marty Sertich has four points in his last three games (2-2-4)… Toby Petersen has found the scoresheet in three of the Stars’ first four games (1-4-5), including a pair of assists in Tuesday’s win.

Rochester and Manitoba square off for a rematch Wednesday evening at the MTS Centre, with the Americans looking to avenge Tuesday’s 1-0 loss… Moose rookie defenseman Luc Bourdon, selected 10th overall by Vancouver in the 2005 NHL Draft, notched the game’s only goal in the third period, his second goal and third point in the last two games… Amerks co-captain Clarke MacArthur saw his three-game points streak (1-3-4) end in the defeat… Rochester has one of the league’s busiest schedules in the early going, with Wednesday marking their seventh game in 13 days.

Flyers forwards Jeff Carter, Mike Richards, and R.J. Umberger posted a combined four points (2-2-4) in Philadelphia’s 4-2 win over Atlanta on Tuesday, with Carter and Richards scoring a goal apiece… The teams’ AHL affiliates, the Philadelphia Phantoms and Chicago Wolves, met in the 2005 Calder Cup Finals (won by the Phantoms, 4-0), and nine players who participated in that series suited up for Tuesday’s Flyers-Thrashers tilt.
