On Tuesday night, Alexandre Giroux scored twice and Kari Lehtonen made 27 saves in his first AHL appearance since the 2005 Calder Cup Finals as Chicago defeated Quad City, 4-1… Milwaukee notched three third-period goals, including Rich Peverley’s game-winner, to take a 5-4 victory at San Antonio… Defenseman Bryce Lampman’s first goal in a Stars uniform gave Iowa a 3-2 win over Houston.

LOOKING AHEAD:
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton continues a five-game road swing with a visit to Hamilton in an inter-conference match-up Wednesday… Rookie goaltender John Curry has started the Penguins’ last two games and earned his first AHL victory on Saturday at Binghamton… Connor James has a point in four straight games for Wilkes-Barre (3-3-6), and his 13 points overall (6-7-13) are tied for the team lead with Jeff Taffe (9-4-13)… The Bulldogs come in winners of a season-high three straight, most recently riding Jaroslav Halak’s 25-save effort to a 3-0 shutout of Toronto on Friday… Sergei Kostitsyn has a point in four straight outings (2-4-6) and ranks fourth among AHL rookies with 19 points on the season (5-14-19)… Hamilton’s penalty kill rate of 89.1 percent is tops in the league.

Binghamton and Hershey are tied for third place in the East Division with 20 points each as the two collide on Wednesday for their third meeting of the season… The Senators enter the night at 3-0-1-0 in their last four outings, while the Bears have won six of their last seven (6-1-0-0), including two of three under interim head coach Bob Woods… Grant Potulny, who played three seasons for the Sens from 2004-07, leads Hershey with three goals against his former team this season… Bears leading scorer Joe Motzko (7-5-12) has been held off the scoresheet in consecutive games… Former Hershey defenseman Lawrence Nycholat is riding a six-game scoring streak (1-6-7) for Binghamton… Jeff Glass has won three straight decisions for the Senators and leads the league in both goals-against average (1.87) and save percentage (.938)… Hershey has won nine straight from Binghamton at the Giant Center since the Sens’ last win on Jan. 23, 2005.

Chicago hosts Peoria on Thursday in the teams’ third meeting in nine days… The Wolves lead the league with a 16-2-1-0 record and are 16-3-1-3 all-time against their downstate rivals, but dropped a 7-3 decision to the Rivermen on Saturday… Since that loss, Chicago has outscored its opponents 12-4 in winning two in a row… Jason Krog has a point in four straight games (3-4-7) and eight of his last nine (6-7-13), and has put up 19 points (7-12-19) in 10 meetings with Peoria over the last two seasons… 2006-07 AHL Rookie of the Year Brett Sterling has 15 points (8-7-15) in 11 games since returning from parent club Atlanta… Peoria is looking for its first three-game winning streak of the season and is beginning a stretch of three road games in three nights… Julian Talbot has five goals and six points in two games against Chicago this season, including a four-point effort (3-1-4) in Saturday’s win… The Rivermen’s road penalty kill is a perfect 40-for-40 through seven games this season.
