Blues return Cracknell to Wolves

The St. Louis Blues announced today that the club has assigned forward Adam Cracknell to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Chicago Wolves.

Currently, the Wolves are tied 1-1 with the Rochester Americans in the first round of the 2014 Calder Cup Playoffs. The Wolves will host the Americans in Game 3 on Thursday.

Cracknell, 28, has dressed in 28 games with the Wolves this season, posting 25 points, including 12 goals and 13 assists. In addition, the 6-foot-3, 209-pound forward appeared in 19 regular-season games with the Blues, as well as five postseason games, scoring his first career playoff goal in Game 1 of the Blues’ first-round matchup with Chicago on Apr. 17.

The Prince Albert, Sask., native was originally signed by the Blues as a free agent on July 23, 2009.
