The Montreal Canadiens announced the acquisition of goaltender Devan Dubnyk from the Nashville Predators in exchange for future considerations.
Dubnyk was assigned to the AHL’s Hamilton Bulldogs.
Dubnyk, 27, shows a record of 11-18-3 in 34 games this season with Edmonton and Nashville, with a 3.43 goals-against average and an .891 save percentage along with two shutouts.
In 173 career NHL appearances, Dubnyk has a record of 61-77-22 (2.90, .909) with eight shutouts.
A first-round selection (14th overall) by Edmonton at the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, Dubnyk has made 132 AHL appearances with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Springfield, going 42-76-4 with a 3.02 GAA, a .907 save percentage and three shutouts.
