The Toronto Marlies announced today that the hockey club has re-signed forward Rich Clune to a two-year contract.
Clune, 31, enters his fourth season with the Marlies organization in 2018-19. He tallied three goals and one assist in 47 regular-season games for the eventual Calder Cup champions last season, serving as an alternate captain.
Clune has skated in 470 career AHL games with Toronto, Milwaukee, Manchester and Iowa, totaling 46 goals and 84 assists for 130 points along with 1,414 penalty minutes. The Toronto native also has two goals and six assists in 31 career Calder Cup Playoff games.
A third-round pick by the Dallas Stars in the 2005 NHL Draft, Clune has appeared in 139 regular-season games in the NHL with Toronto, Nashville and Los Angeles, amassing seven goals and 15 assists for 22 points.
